The Pendulum
Dear Blog Diary,
It’s tradition. Before the Ohio State Michigan game hundreds of students jump in this little man-made pond called Mirror Lake.
Place gets trashed and there’s always some bro who busts out an inflatable kayak.

Thompson library. I step outside for a smoke and there’s a mass of people jumping in mirror lake. Turns out they were celebrating the death of Osama Bin Laden.
I’ll never forget, student org or admin sent out an email saying that they shouldn’t have done it because “it’s unoriginal.” Get a better way to celebrate.
My question without answer: When is it ok to celebrate death?
You see where this is going.
Terrorist who orchestrated the biggest attack on the US in modern history — green light. We can gather to celebrate.
9/11 was horrific (also my birthday) and Osama was our enemy. Shouldn’t have been talking shit. Hell yeah USA.
Let’s not bullshit. It wasn’t celebrating our country being safer. Closing of a 9/11 grieving chapter, that’s fair.
Note: I’m not making judgements.
So when can we celebrate death? When can we make jokes? What’s the premise?
Everyone laughed at the billionaire submersible. Some gave Luigi a pass on murdering a healthcare CEO.
So minimum, we’re getting warmer if you’re rich? Fair? I dunno.
Charlie Kirk.
That’s where I stop. I’m not going near it, and why?
Because the times we live in now, I have to agree with you the right way AND the right intensity. All in, and to a tee. It’s not enough that I agree with you. I need to feed into your belief or I’m branded the enemy and need to be destroyed.
Even not stating an opinion is grounds for attack.
That goes for far right and far left. They both hate equally, just differently. Everyone thinks the way they think should be the way. No compromise.
It’s very natural how our country got so divided. People feed into it. Sincerely, do you?
The biggest difference between Obama and Trump is that Obama had the integrity to be president to half a country that hated him.
Left of center. I get it from both sides. Protect yourself at all times out there everyone.
The pendulum never stops in the middle.
Best,
E
